The Coalition did what they promised and bye-bye Central Election leaders and back to the ones in charge in 2004. Next they will push legislation after legislation through, put the Presidential's order into Constitutional Court, and negotiate to push for Presidential elections. They will continue to push for 300 votes in the meantime and continue to oust any Minister or Deputy-Minister who is not loyal to them.

Now the "fear" machine will kick into high gear and it will be waves of spin and propaganda in the Eastern oblasts.

OOPS - forgot to mention the pressure that the Constitutional Court members will be under and the money that will be offered by the Coalition.

Ironic. The Coalition people who state that they are the ones for "peace and quiet" are the ones who are paying people to come to Mariinsky Palace - est. 40,000 people tom. alone.

Matt J has good commentary, but it doesn't beat being there. I hear there have been some clashes, that's not good...

Clashes? Trust me: There have been no clashes so far, just conversations — verbal, not physical. Come see for yourself.

Of course, fraud and “fault line” rhetoric will be a hot issue in this campaign. But if it gets too far, we’ll have another Maidan. They have a right to beat us in the polls, but they have no right to cheat the polls. Nor do they have a right to cheat us after the polls.

Yushchenko did the right thing. Leaving the fox in the henhouse would do Ukraine no good.
