President Yushchenko Orders Investigation
In view of the situation, President Yushchenko has made the following statement:Key is the question of finalizing the election results.
My concern has been caused by counting delays in eastern and southern oblasts, namely in Donetsk, Luhansk, Odesa oblasts and in the Crimean Autonomous Republic. This process shows signs of stalling.
http://www.pravda.com.ua/news/2007/10/1/64774.htm
I demand a full explanation, specifically from Central Election Commission and from the Office of the Prosecutor-General.
I am ordering law enforcement agencies to immediately investigate the causes and circumstances of the delays in firsthand protocol deliveries.
Election Results Update 4

BYuT 32.43 (5,100,889)

KPU 5.16 (812,335)
LyB 4.06 (639,856)
SPU 3.05 (481,247)
Tension builds up as eastern oblasts continue withholding election protocols. This procrastination pattern creates a suspicion of foul play, and casts a shadow on an election otherwise recognized as free and fair by the OSCE, CE, and NATO.

Election Results Update 3
61.32 percent of the vote counted as of 12:32 PM, Oct. 1, 2007, Kyiv time (GMT +2:00)

SPU 3.00
CEC official note major delays in election protocol submissions from Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, a practice which raises grave concerns. Analysts believe that some big league players may be busy "vote-sharing," or piggybacking their useful allies past the 3 percent threshold.
In a bid to counter these concerns, the Party of Regions has made public its own "internal" calculus:
PRU 36.6
BYuT 30.2
NUNS 12.7
KPU 5.2
LyB 3.9
SPU 2.7

Election Results Update 2
50.02 percent of the vote counted as of 10:26 AM, Oct. 1, 2007, Kyiv time (GMT +2:00)
BYuT 33.31
PRU 30.64
NUNS 15.56
KPU 5.08
LyB 4.17
SPU 3.19
http://www.cvk.gov.ua/vnd2007/w6p001.html
Election Results Update 1
With some 36.53 percent of the vote processed as of 8:31 AM, Oct. 1, 2007, Kyiv time (GMT +2:00), the scores are as follows:
BYuT 33.55
PRU 30.21
NUNS 15.71
KPU 5.08
LyB 4.23
SPU 3.22
http://www.cvk.gov.ua/vnd2007/w6p001.html
The numbers are subject to change. As you can see, the biggest gainer, compared to last year's election, is BYuT. And the biggest question is whether Moroz will make it. I hate to retract the retirement package I’ve prepared for him.
