Politics are ugly, do you see anything positive coming from this election? Can he or will he do something to help the economy? Could she have done something in this regards? Only time will tel if he can help, or will it be more of the same.

Hehe, no women, no cry. That's good. :D

We will have elections on 11th of April and 25th of April. If you have time, take a look at it, because it can be extremely "funny" at times what we are doing. However the result won't be so close according to recent polls.

The WSJ writes about candidates using American PR firms guidance.

Sounds like Yanukovich is McCain's protege :)

Alan,

Indeed, it’s hard to tell at this point. Time will tell. I keep my expectations low.

With 45% of the vote — much of it captive “against Yanukovych” vote — Tymoshenko remains a force to be reckoned with. It’s a terrific result for an ethically challenged PM whose economy contracted 14% and whose currency lost 60% of its value against the dollar.

But she lost and needs to move on.

Ropi,

We have local (and, possibly, snap parliamentary) elections scheduled for May 30. If you have some funny election videos in Hungary, don’t hesitate to share them:)!

Khabar,

Not really a protégé, but there is a connection. GOP-leaning spin doctors have been working for the Yanukovych camp since 2003.
